The Education and Practice Committee of the North Carolina Board of Nursing has been charged with reviewing the Registered Nurse (RN) scope of practice to assure that RNs are able to practice to the full extent of their licensure in NC. The Committee is to identify if the Nursing Practice Act (Law) or related Administrative Code (Rules) or Board interpretations create barriers that limit RNs' ability to fully practice in their various work settings.

In an attempt to obtain feedback from as many licensed nurses as possible and practicing in various work settings and locations throughout the state, this anonymous survey has been established. In addition, the Committee wishes to obtain feedback from public citizens receiving healthcare services within NC.

The survey should take approximately five (5) minutes to complete.
